BHW Facilitating The Health Information Campaign

Information is the most important resource to enable a population make informed decisions on how to take care of their health and to prevent misinformation. In this time of new normal, the BHWs themselves, partnered with the ADZU-SOM medical students, are leading the health information campaign at Barangay Siari, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte. This includes information about Hypertension, Malnutrition, Solid Waste Management, Water Purification Methods, and Dengue. This activity was spearheaded by Ms. Ilyn Epa an active and effective BHW. The health information was done through videos and posters. The participants include women having prenatal checkups as well as mothers having their child immunized. This was conducted last April 13 and 14 during the prenatal and immunization day respectively.
