Health Caravan at Purok 5 with the Barangay Officials, Barangay Nurse, and Barangay Health Workers
The Purok 5 of barangay Siari is considered to have the poorest compliance to barangay and health ordinances. This is largely attributed to their location since they are situated on a mountain. The Team Siari, together with the Barangay Nurse, the BHWs, and the Barangay Captain and Officials headed to Purok 5 of barangay Siari in order to deliver health services. The residents were able to receive family planning, deworming, and COVID vaccine during the visit.
In line with the celebration of nutrition month, a mass feeding to more than 50 children was held. The children enjoyed their sandwich (with homemade supplemental food), vegetable soup, and a glass of milk. The height, weight and mid upper arm circumference (MUAC) of the children of Purok 5 were also taken and eight (8) children were identified as malnourished. These 8 identified malnourished children will be referred to the Barangay Nutrition Scholar to be included in the list of prioritization.
