Monitoring of Blood Pressure and Assessment of Antihypertensive Medications Adherence
Checking blood pressure is an important part of managing high blood pressure (hypertension). It is recommended that people with high blood pressure should have a regular monitoring of their blood pressure even at home; regular checking of blood pressure helps you determine if treatment is working. Thus, as part of advocating this the medical students put up a free BP monitoring station to serve people who don't have their own monitoring devices at home. Hypertensive individuals’ adherence to medications were also assessed and health education was intensified. Health monitoring cards were also given to record their blood pressure readings. This health monitoring cards will be used by the patients to track the progress of their blood pressure.
