Monthly Barangay Hall Assembly and Meeting

The barangay officials conduct their monthly Barangay Council Meeting during the 1st and 3rd mondays of the month. For the first meeting of the month held on July 4, 2022, the team together with the barangay nurse, Maam Glace, presented our plans for the nutrition month. One activity of interest proposed by the team is the supplemental food for the identified malnourished children. This was proposed as an alternative activity to mass feeding where malnourished children are not directly targeted. The purpose of supplemental food and trial samples was presented to the barangay council to which gained their approval and was willing to fund the activity. Moreover, health caravan activity was also proposed to be held at the far reach of Purok 5 where health services are not readily available and where residents are considered to be the least compliant to regulations. The aim of the health caravan is to bring them the health services of the barangay and to educate them on the importance of prenatal checkups, family planning, and most especially to accept COVID vaccine. Seeing the importance of health caravan activity, the barangay council also approved the activity.
