Nutrition Month Celebration

Team Siari of Siari, Sindangan Zamboanga del Norte a group of 7 medical students was invited to take part in the daycare pupils nutrition month celebration with a theme “Kumain ng wasto at maging aktibo…Push natin to”. This activity was spearheaded by maam Fe Sebatna, the barangay’s local daycare teacher and was also supported by the pupils parents in which the parents made an effort to have their child look good and pleasant and then took their child to the barangays covered court where the said activity was held. Part of the said activity was a segment called search for the A1 child. Accordingly A1 child is described to be something or someone that is in excellent or first-class condition, looking for a child that is excellent in some way, and also is a well-nourished child. As part of the judging criteria, we were tasked to looked closely for the child’s general physical appearance this includes the hair, eyes, ears, nose, teeth, skin, and nails. Twenty pupils from the female category took turn in each of the 7 judges to present themselves and was judged according to the given criteria, while only 8 pupils from the male category had participated. The total scores for each child were consolidated and the average score were taken. The winning A1 child was awarded with a crown, a scepter

and a cape both from male and female category.
